Hours: 37 hours per week Monday-Sunday with flexibility to meet business needs
Salary: National Minimum Wage (according to age). For 25’s and over the National Living Wage of £7.50 per hour

Job Purpose: As a member of the Animal Park & Gardens team you will make sure that every visitor leaves with a good impression. You will provide consistently high customer service levels, have a keen interest in retail, events, and catering, and be willing to work in a multi-function capacity.
Vision: We put the Visitor first. We look at ways to further improve the Visitor experience every day. A great day out for families, tourists, animal lovers, and garden enthusiasts, our busy shop also serves locals residents, staff & students, and passers-by – making our customer base extremely diverse. Our team must be naturally good with customers and confident in retail, catering & tourism environments. We strive to expand our Shop, Cafe and Animal Park offer, and you must therefore be flexible to changes and embrace this vision.
Introduction to the role:
We are looking to recruit a confident, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to staff the Visitor Centre Shop, Café and Animal Park. Duties will include handling cash, re-stocking of shelves and display units and keeping a record of visitor numbers. Applicants should be have excellent customer service skills, and will provide visitors with information on all Kingston Maurward activities. You will be required to assist at Kingston Maurward events as and when required, reporting to the Retail and Commercial Marketing Manager. Previous experience in a retail, catering and events, and working with young people is essential. You will also need to demonstrate a good knowledge of safeguarding and working with young and vulnerable people.
